Brisbane Correctional Centre locked down after prisoners take to roof in protest (ABC) - ( 4U5TR4L14 )

The Brisbane Correctional Centre has been locked down after two inmates began protesting on its roof.

It is understood the men at the correctional centre at Wacol, west of Brisbane, are protesting the detention of a third prisoner at the centre.

Negotiators were called in to talk them down, and police have climbed onto the roof in an attempt to end the protest.

Earlier, aerial pictures showed the men holding poles and one of them tampering with a security camera.

Queensland Corrective Services says the security of the jail has not been compromised.
