NSW Education Minister Adrian Piccoli is set to lose his seat under new electoral boundaries.
His state seat of Murrumbidgee will be abolished as part of a redistribution that takes into account population changes.
At the next state election in 2015, Murrumbidgee will be encompassed by the larger seat of Barwon.
The redistribution means the National Party will have to find another seat for Mr Piccoli.
A new inner city seat, Newtown, has also been created.
