A man has been accused of biting a police officer and trying to push him off a balcony on the Gold Coast.
The officer was attacked after police were called to a disturbance at an Ashmore home on Monday night.
Police were forced to use a taser to subdue the man, who had tried to shove the officer off a balcony that was three metres above a concrete driveway.
The 32-year-old is facing two counts of serious assault of police, and drug charges.
He will face the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
