A man is fighting for his life after he was king hit outside a bar in Melbourne’s west on Friday night.
The 34-year-old Sunshine man was assaulted on the street outside the venue in Sunshine around 7.30pm (AEST).
He had been at the public bar of a hotel with his girlfriend and got into an argument with a man on the street.
During the argument, the man punched the victim in the head, which caused him to fall backwards and he struck his head on the footpath and fell unconscious.
He was taken to The Alfred hospital with life threatening injuries.
