A man who was shot in the leg in western Sydney is refusing to help investigators.
Police say a 32-year-old was dropped off by a family member at Auburn Hospital about 1.15pm (AEST) on Sunday with a single gunshot wound to the leg.
NSW Police said in a statement that the injured man spoke briefly to officers but was “not assisting with their inquiries”.
Police from Flemington Local Area Command are trying to establish where the shooting occurred and are searching the man’s home at Union Road, Auburn.
The man has been transferred to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations continue but police do not believe it was a random incident.
